Smart Routing
A proxy configuration that decides per-domain whether to go direct or through the proxy.
Smart routing (or 'rule-based routing') is a proxy configuration where each domain is matched against a list of rules that decide whether to route it directly or through a proxy exit. The most common setup in China is: domestic domains (geosite:cn) → direct, foreign domains → proxy exit. The benefit is performance: domestic traffic doesn't pay the proxy latency, while foreign traffic gets the proxy exit you choose.
IPCombo's per-target real IP column is the easiest way to verify your smart routing. If 'baidu.com' shows your home IP and 'openai.com' shows your proxy exit, your routing is working. If 'openai.com' shows your home IP, your routing rule for openai.com is wrong (probably it's in your direct list by mistake).
