Residential IP
An IP address allocated to a home internet subscriber, high-trust but slower and more expensive.
Residential IPs are addresses in the ranges allocated to home broadband providers (Comcast, AT&T, Verizon Fios, China Telecom, NTT). They are slow because you share the bandwidth with the actual homeowner. They are expensive because the supply is constrained (someone needs to run software on a real subscriber's router). They pass almost every blocklist because the IP reputation matches a real human user.
Use residential IPs for: streaming, AI assistants, banking, crypto exchanges, any consumer-facing service that does ASN reputation. The extra latency is rarely the bottleneck — the bottleneck is the proxy exit's bandwidth, which is usually adequate.
