SEA financial + AI hub — Binance, OKX, ChatGPT all strong
🇸🇬 Singapore
Singapore is the cleanest, most business-friendly Asian region. Every major AI service runs tier-1 infrastructure in SG (OpenAI APAC, Anthropic APAC, Google Asia-South), and Binance.com, OKX, and Bybit all serve SG fully — it's the de-facto crypto capital of Asia. Stripe and Wise have full SG support, including SGD payouts. The English-only environment means zero friction for global SaaS. The one big gotcha: Netflix SG is among the smallest catalogs globally (about ⅓ of US), and Disney+ SG is roughly the same size — don't use a residential SG IP for streaming, only for local content and banking. SG mobile is the gold standard for crypto-grade work.

ChatGPT SG, Claude SG, Gemini SG, Grok SG, Sora, Midjourney, Suno, Runway, Pika, Stripe SG, Wise SG, Binance.com, OKX, Coinbase, Bybit, Netflix SG, Disney+ SG, Spotify SG, Apple Music SG, YouTube Premium SG, Telegram, X, Discord, GitHub. SG is the only Asian region where Binance.com, OKX, and Bybit are all fully available with no workarounds — use SG mobile for any trading-grade work.
Best for
Limitations
- Netflix SG catalog is among the smallest globally (~⅓ of US)
- Disney+ SG is similarly small — use JP/US for streaming
- Some services default to USD pricing despite SG locale
Pricing context
YouTube Premium SG is S$13.98/mo (~$10.30) — competitive with JP/KR. Spotify and Apple Music are mid-range. Binance spot fees are 0.10%/0.10% (same as global), but VIP tier discounts are deeper in SG than in HK. Stripe SG is 2.9% + S$0.50 — the cheapest Stripe in Asia. Most other SaaS is US-priced in SGD.
Proxy tip
SG mobile (Singtel, StarHub, M1) is the gold standard for crypto, banking, and AI — the cleanest IP class in Asia. SG residential exists but is small and pricey. Avoid SG datacenter (AWS Singapore, GCP asia-southeast1, Alibaba SG, Microsoft SG) for any service with ASN reputation — widely flagged. Singtel and StarHub are interchangeable; M1 is rarer and sometimes a better fallback when the big two are over-represented.
